Pharmacy Residency Program

The Residency Program at Memorial Health Care System is a postgraduate year one (PGY1) residency and is designed to prepare pharmacists for advanced level practice at a community-based hospital. Residents, in conjunction with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, are responsible and accountable for the provision and oversight of evidence-based, patient-centered medication related outcomes.  Residents develop a strong foundation in pharmacotherapy, operational, and practice management skills.  Required and elective rotations include anticoagulation, cardiology, critical care, drug information/drug use policy, hospital pharmacy practice, infectious disease, informatics, internal medicine, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, pharmacy practice management, and student precepting.

Residency applicants must have a Pharm.D degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy and eligibility for licensure in the state of Tennessee. An on-site interview is required. An application, detailed letter of interest, current curriculum vitae, official transcripts, and three letters of recommendation must be submitted through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) website at www.ashp.org/phorcas no later than January 14.

We are not able to provide H1B sponsorship for non-US citizens.
