Emergency Centers
Memorial’s comprehensive Emergency Centers provide state-of-the-art service at both Memorial and Memorial Hixson hospitals.
As Accredited Chest Pain Centers, our Emergency Centers also provide superior cardiac care with the support of the entire Memorial Health Care System team. Each center features private treatment rooms, including trauma and cardiac rooms, and specialty treatment rooms for fractures, multiple injuries, illnesses and communicable diseases. Highly trained stroke teams provide fast track evaluation and care of stroke patients.
Emergency Medical Service (EMS)
Our EMS is committed to providing quality care and transport to individuals. Each ambulance is equipped with a cardiac monitor, defibrillator, and 12-lead EKG capability to identify a heart attack in the field, communications equipment to transmit EKGs to any emergency center, and a Global Positioning System to track each ambulance and facilitate sending the closest ambulance to the call.
