One of 97 best in country for hip and knee replacements
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) named Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga one of the 97 best hospitals in the country for hip and knee replacements.
To determine rankings, the CMS study looked at the number of times patients were readmitted to a hospital within 30 days of discharge and how often patients suffered serious complications after surgery. Memorial Hospital ranked “above average” in low readmission rates. Overall, 95% of hospitals nationally were rated “average.”
Memorial’s Joint Replacement Center offers total or partial joint replacement by the best surgical, nursing and rehabilitation staff in the region. Many of the orthopedic surgeons on staff at Memorial are fellowship-trained and highly experienced, having performed 1,762 hip and knee replacements annually at Memorial Hospital.
