At the Buz Standefer Lung Center, you’re a person first and a patient second. That’s why we offer services that help you with every aspect of your cancer treatment. And it’s why your care begins with a Nurse Navigator. Equal parts trusted guide, tireless advocate, and skilled professional, your Nurse Navigator is there for you every step of the way.
CHI Memorial also offers several pulmonary rehabilitation opportunities for lung cancer patients. “Healthy Lung Express” is a quick lung tune-up, often in preparation for surgery, while more intensive pulmonary rehab is recommended after surgery and includes exercise, education and nutrition counseling. Our postoperative care includes a multidisciplinary team of nurses, respiratory therapists and pulmonary rehab therapists who are working together to help you build lung strength and stamina.
Through CHI Memorial’s Centers for Cancer Support, a team of nurses, educators, dietitians, chaplains and social workers offer free services to all cancer patients and their families. We’re always at your side. Call (423) 495-7778 for more information on cancer support services. Learn more about CHI Memorial’s Centers for Cancer Support
