The Joe and Virginia Schmissratuer Centers for Cancer Support offer a full range of holistic care for the mind, body and spirit—from education and financial support information to dietary counseling, stress management and more. All support services are free to cancer patients regardless of where they receive their treatment.

Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancers (HBOC) Support Group
For women at risk for hereditary breast and ovarian cancers (HBOC). The group meets once every quarter. More than 2 million women in the United States may be at increased risk for hereditary cancers because of their family history, according to Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered (FORCE). Prostate Cancer Support Group

Support for People with Oral and Head and Neck Cancer
SPOHNC's National Survivor Volunteer Network is a wonderful program. The Match Program is especially helpful for those who are unable to get to a group meeting or who live in an area where there may not currently be a group that meets each month. Phone support can be very helpful to those who are just beginning treatment or having issues with side effects following treatment. SPRITUAL CARE SERVICES
As you and your family face cancer diagnosis, treatment and survival, CHI Memorial’s chaplains are available for counseling and prayer. Your needs may require only a brief prayer or a more intensive faith discussion. Our mission is to provide aid, comfort and respect. Services are available at CHI Memorial Hospital Chattanooga and CHI Memorial Hospital Hixson.
We Care Weekend
We Care Weekend is an annual retreat for persons with cancer and their families. Our hope is to encourage patients, family and significant others on their journey while providing opportunities for patients and family to share stories and celebrate life. learn more
