Sabrina Curtis (PGY1) was born and raised in Franklin, NC. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC, and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from East Tennessee State University- Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy in Johnson City, TN. Throughout pharmacy school she interned with Walmart Pharmacy, and was also active in professional organizations including SNPhA, ASHP, and Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. Her clinical interests include emergency medicine and critical care. In her free time she enjoys playing board games, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. Doug Dertien (PGY1) was born and raised in Memphis, TN. He completed his undergraduate studies and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in Oxford, MS. During pharmacy school, Doug was active in professional organizations including ASHP, APhA, and AACP. His clinical interests include cardiology, critical care, and oncology. Jessica Duke (PGY1) was born and raised in Manchester, TN. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Biology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy in Nashville, TN. Throughout pharmacy school, she focused her efforts on her pharmacy intern position at CHI Memorial Hospital and was also active in professional organizations including APhA-ASP, ASHP, AMCP and Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. Prior to graduation she was awarded the Viatris Excellence in Pharmacy Award, which recognizes a graduating student who has achieved high academic achievement and demonstrates professional motivation to improve practice. Her clinical interests include critical care, emergency medicine and infectious diseases. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Biology minor at the University of Minnesota and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. Throughout pharmacy school, she focused her efforts on her pharmacy intern position at Emory Decatur Hospital, and was also active in professional organizations including ASHP, APhA-ASP, ACCP-SCCP, Kappa Epsilon, and Rho Chi Honors Society. Her clinical interests include critical care, internal medicine, and pharmacokinetics.
