CHI Memorial Awarded ‘Thrombectomy Capable’ Certification

CHI Memorial has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Thrombectomy Capable Certification.  Mechanical thrombectomy is a minimally-invasive technique used to remove blood clots from the brain.

“I’m extremely proud of our team’s dedication and commitment to improving outcomes for stroke patients in the Chattanooga area,” shared Jennifer Patterson, PhDc, ACNP-BC, ANVP-BC, CCRN, FHM, director of neuroscience operations, CHI Memorial.  “Removing a clot from the brain restores blood flow which reduces the risk of long-term effects and improves quality of life for patients after a stroke.”
