In a beautiful interactive service, Janelle Reilly, chief executive officer (CEO) at CHI Memorial, recently committed herself to answer God’s call and serve with “passion, authenticity, and a deep spirit and awareness that what we do is sacred work”.

During the ceremony, Reilly expressed gratitude to the physicians, staff, and volunteers at CHI Memorial. “Your dedication is an inspiration to me.  I am overwhelmed by all you do. Thank you for living the values and making a difference every day.  We must continue to trust and rely on each other as we serve as Christ’s hands and feet in this healing ministry.  I am truly humbled and honored.”

Larry Schumacher, senior vice president, CHI divisional operations, southeast division, and five members of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, which began the hospital in 1952, conducted the missioning ceremony.  Reilly received a mission candle as a symbol of Christ’s healing mission along with a framed copy of CHI Memorial’s mission statement and core values.

Reilly was named CEO in September 2018, succeeding Larry Schumacher who moved full-time into his role as senior vice president, CHI divisional operations, Southeast division. She joined CHI Memorial as president and chief operating officer in July 2016.
