MaryEllen Locher Breast Center Designated as a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center

The MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at CHI Memorial has been designated a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®).  It has been a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center (formally known as Breast Imaging Center of Excellence) since 2008. This designation is recognized as the gold standard for medical imaging.

“As the area’s only comprehensive breast center, we strive to offer the highest-quality care with compassion and excellence,” shared Brittany Hennessee, director of breast services at CHI Memorial.  “Our multidisciplinary team provides the best possible treatment while minimizing the time from finding a breast concern to a diagnosis.”

The MaryEllen Locher Breast Center is fully accredited by the ACR in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.  These accreditations make it eligible to receive the ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence designation, which is reevaluated every three years.
