CHI Memorial's second annual St. Luke’s Healer’s Heart Award recipients announced

CHI Memorial's second annual St. Luke’s Healer’s Heart Award ceremony was held Tuesday, October 23, 2018. The award honors physicians and advance practice clinicians who have significantly contributed to the advancement of CHI Memorial’s Mission and Core Values. Recipients are chosen from among those nominated in each of four core value categories – Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence – with specific reference to a cultural attribute of that Core Value. 

Congratulations to this year’s recipients:

  • David Winters, D.O., family medicine physician with CHI Memorial Family Practice Associates – Ooltewah, was honored for reverence. 
  • Peter Hunt, M.D., otolaryngologist with Associates in E.N.T., was honored for integrity. 
  • Betsy Washburn, M.D., surgical oncologist with CHI Memorial Breast Care Associates, was honored for compassion. 
  • Allen E. Atchley, Jr., M.D., FACC, FASE, RPVI, cardiologist with The Chattanooga Heart Institute, was honored for excellence.
