Your generosity impacts lives, makes a difference, heals our community

CHI Memorial Foundation

The CHI Memorial Foundation is the fundraising arm of our health system and exists to allow CHI Memorial to extend its mission of medical excellence further into our community. More than 2,000 individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations make gifts to us each year, enabling CHI Memorial to expand programs, offer educational services and purchase innovative medical equipment. Founded in 2001, the CHI Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which operates exclusively to steward philanthropic gifts for CHI Memorial.

This is the time for humankindness

At CHI Memorial, we care deeply about your health and well-being, and our physicians, nurses, and caregivers are prepared and ready to keep our community safe. This is what they do on a daily basis and are thoroughly trained for these moments of crisis.

We hope you will join us in spreading kindness during this difficult time by helping those you can.

Whether picking up groceries for a neighbor, calling to check on an elderly friend, or making a gift to support caretakers, acts of kindness can be critically important and make a significant difference to others.

While our dedicated and heroic medical staff bring compassionate care to your community members, CHI Memorial Foundation is working to support their efforts. The COVID-19 Disaster Relief Fund provides necessary resources to support our physicians and nurses during this critical moment.

You may make a gift HERE or call (423) 495-4141.

Now, more than ever, your gift of any size will make a huge impact on our efforts to combat this pandemic.

Please join us in sharing humankindness.

With gratitude,

Jennifer Nicely
CHI Memorial Foundation President

Supply Donations

Many members of the community have generously offered to make cloth masks* and donate supplies. Acceptable items include:

  • Disinfectant wipes (unopened)
  • Reusable face shields
  • N95 masks (unopened)
  • Latex free gloves (unopened)
  • Bouffant hats (unopened)
  • Hand sanitizer (unopened)

Fabric masks and supply donations should be delivered to one of the following locations:

  • CHI Memorial Hospital Chattanooga Surgical Services Entrance B
  • CHI Memorial Hospital Hixson’s Main Entrance
  • CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia’s Main Entrance

*As we have engaged our teams in planning for a possible surge of COVID-19 patients, we have identified those employees who may wear cloth masks instead of the traditional surgical mask. Therefore, in an effort to preserve our supply of loop masks and to prepare in the event of a surge, we are asking the community for cloth mask donations. These cloth masks are only used by employees who are working in a non-patient encounter areas. That is, those employees who are not in the vicinity of patients and are working in areas not frequented by patients. In direct patient care areas, employees will continue to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
