Helpful information about the COVID-19 Vaccine.
MaryEllen Locher Scholarship Fund scholarships are given to the children of breast cancer patients--either survivors, those currently in treatment, or deceased. Please note that scholarships are limited to students residing within a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga.
According to the terms of this scholarship, students will be selected on the basis of eligibility and essays. Community service, grades, and financial need will also be considered in the review of applicants. However, grades will not play a dominant role in the selection process. Our reviewers recognize that dealing with cancer in a family member may impact a student’s academic performance.
The MaryEllen Locher Scholarship Fund shows no bias toward students of any particular race, religion, or gender. None of these will be considered in awarding scholarships.
Scholarship are awarded for one academic year only. Each recipient must reapply every year and complete a new application form. There is no guarantee that previous recipients will be seclected again for another year.
