Justin Wilkes, MD

Justin Wilkes, MD, a Board Certified Complex General Surgery Oncologist with CHI Memorial Surgical Associates, provides advanced surgical care - to diagnose, stage and effectively treat cancer, and manage cancer-related symptoms. Dr. Wilkes utilizes advanced robotic-assisted technology and minimally invasive surgical techniques to help patients recover faster with less pain and minimal scarring.

Dr. Wilkes earned his medical degree the University of Iowa’s Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, IA. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Wilkes then completed a complex general surgical oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. He is certfiied by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. He joined CHI Memorial Surgical Associates in October 2021.

• Gastrointestinal oncology including gastric, pancreatic, colon, hepatobiliary, rectal, small intestine, and neuroendocrine tumors
• Soft tissue sarcomas including retroperitoneal, sarcoma, extremity sarcomas, GIST
• Skin cancers including melanoma, squamous cell, basal cell and merkel cell 
• General surgery procedures for gallbladder, appendix, and benign colorectal conditions
