Patrick Wortman is a registered dietitian and a National Strength and Conditioning Association certified personal trainer. He has a MS in Nutrition with a concentration in exercise science. His passion for diet and exercise comes from the pronounced improvements he has brought about in his own health, as well as the health of some of his family and close friends. As he discovered the power of a healthy lifestyle, he found that heI truly enjoyed all that it encompassed, and decided to change careers and pursue the true passion he had developed. He obtained his BS (Suma Cum Laude) and MS degrees at the University of Tennessee. His work experience includes clinical (hospital), renal, cancer and wellness/wt loss positions as well as personal training on a part-time basis. Areas of special interest for Patrick are wellness, weight loss, dietary supplements, and food allergies/digestive health (he suffers from sensitivity to gluten).
Patrick's focus is based on his belief that lifestyle changes are the only way to elicit permanent changes and improve a person's health and well-being. Quick fixes and "diets" produce short term results that are usually not sustainable over the long term. His goal is to assist people in creating the lifestyle that will allow them to feel their best and BE their best.
Patrick sees patients at CHI Memorial Integrative Medicine Associates in Chattanooga and on Signal Mountain. To schedule an appointment, call (423) 643-2246 for our Chattanooga location and (423) 886-2004 for our Signal Mountain location.
