  • Clinical trial – Information is available for those who may be eligible.
  • Freedom From Smoking® – An American Lung Association program that has helped hundreds of thousands of Americans overcome an addiction to nicotine for more than 35 years. The program is designed for a small group setting. Class locations and times vary. 
  • Massage therapy – Services are available on Monday – Wednesday for cancer patients undergoing active treatment.
  • Nutrition – Classes are offered for anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis. Wellness Nutrition is an informational class designed to give cancer patients who have finished their treatment up-to-date nutritional/wellness information and teach the skills to maintain a healthy, powerful lifestyle. Research shows that a low-fat diet combined with regular exercise can significantly decrease the risk of cancer recurrence.
  • Relaxation techniques – Breath work, guided imagery and mediation techniques can help manage stress, enhance wellbeing, improve coping skills and increase self-awareness.
  • Resource library - Brochures, books and videos on a wide variety of topic are available with some resources in Spanish.
  • Risk counseling – Cancer risk counseling is available to help people understand better how genetic factors and family history of cancer might affect their individual risk of developing cancer. Learn more
  • Spiritual care – As you and your family face cancer diagnosis, treatment and survival, CHI Memorial’s chaplains are available for counseling and prayer. Your needs may require only a brief prayer or a more intensive faith discussion. Our mission is to provide aid, comfort and respect.
  • We Care Weekend – An annual retreat for persons with cancer and their families. Our hope is to encourage patients, family and significant others on their journey while providing opportunities for patients and family to share stories and celebrate life. CHI Memorial will host the 28th Annual We Care Weekend, October 11 – 13, 2019 at Cohutta Springs Conference Center in Crandall, Georgia. The celebration begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, extending through the weekend until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 13. The cost is $60 for one room (up to 4 guests) which includes lodging for Friday & Saturday and three meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Space is limited, scholarships are available.
