2017-2018 PGY-1 Residents
LACEY BOUTWELL (PGY1) was raised in Douglasville, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia. She earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy at Mercer University in Atlanta. During pharmacy school, Lacey was active in professional organizations including APhA-ASP, where she served as Chapter President, and Kappa Epsilon Pharmaceutical Fraternity. Her clinical interests include internal medicine, infectious disease and critical care. Outside of pharmacy, Lacey enjoys exploring Chattanooga, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family, including her newborn daughter.
AVERY HART (PGY1) was born and raised in Dalton, GA and completed his pre-pharmacy curriculum at Mercer University in Macon, GA with a concentration in biochemistry. He earned his Pharm.D. from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA, where he was involved in several pharmacy organizations including CPFI, APhA-ASP, and GSHP/ASHP. Avery’s clinical interests include internal medicine, infectious diseases, and cardiology. Outside of pharmacy, Avery loves being involved in his church, comic book movies, Georgia football, and dad jokes.
RIMA PATEL (PGY1) was born in India and lived in Alabama for 4 years before her family eventually moved to Dayton, TN. She completed her undergraduate coursework at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and received her Pharm.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. Throughout pharmacy school, she was actively involved in many pharmacy organizations, including SNPhA, APhA-ASP, and Rho Chi honor society. Rima’s clinical interests include critical care and cardiology. In her free time, Rima enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, cooking, and trying new restaurants.
PRISCA TAYLOR (PGY1) grew up in the small town of Hartsville, TN. While attending Middle Tennessee State University, she received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry. She earned her Pharm. D. from Belmont University College of Pharmacy. During pharmacy school, she participated in various organizations such as APhA, ASHP, and CPNP. Prisca’s clinical interests include cardiology, internal medicine, infectious disease and psychiatry. When not at work, Prisca enjoys trying new restaurants, binge watching shows on Netflix, and spending time with family and friends.
